Week 56

Hello everyone. Another week down.

So on Tuesday we went over to a members house and made a bunch of face masks for the ward to use when we go back to church. We also made a video trying a bunch of different french fries lol. Chick Fil A was the winner if anyone is wondering.

This week we started up a Book of Mormon Study on Wednesday nights to try and get to know the ward better and to invite our friends to. It went pretty well.

We got to visit a couple members and do a calls with a couple more. It is such a great ward here and I've loved getting to know all of them.

Happy pioneer day! Or pie and beer day. We got some yummy pie and some root beer and watch Ephraims rescue to celebrate.

We got to meet the McRaes this week and we love them so much. We got to celebrate the birthday of someone in the ward they interpret for and it was a blast. She made the beat mashed potatoes. I haven't had those in a very long time.

We also got to go to a members house for Sunday and one of the little kids wanted to sing the ABCs really bad so as we were singing the opening song, he sang the ABCs anyways. The cutest thing ever.

Something that we've been doing lately is asking our members to share their conversion stories with us because everyone has one even if you've been a member your whole life. It is so spiritual and  helps us connect with them so much faster. I would encourage yall to think about how you can share your own conversion story. We love our members!

Hope yall have a great week!

Week 55

Heyyy

Alright so last Monday we had our sisters p day. We went to this members house because they have 64 acres of land and tennis courts and a pond and so many fun things. It was a really fun day.

Our bishops wife patched my favorite blue dress and it looks so much better! So shout out to Sister Hammond for being the best.

As for service this week, we heart attacked a few more members, we went to Brenda's house and cut her dogs hair, and also got to go to the Giddings and help them organize the garage and also mowed their neighbors lawn. It's been so hot here.

We also had interviews with our new mission President this week! He is such a nice guy and he is going to be so great for our mission.

We had exchanges in person this week! It was only a couple hours but I went to Winder to be with Sister Barton and it was so fun! I love her so much. We should have taken a picture but we didn't so oops.

Also we went to the Gregersons house for sacrament yesterday and Brother and Sister Gregeraon left with the other sisters to go to a lesson so we stayed behind to help cook dinner and let me tell you that I cut the strongest onion I've ever seen. My eyes were on fire for so long. Anyways that's my story.

I hope everyone had a chance to read the Come Follow Me for this week! Some of my favorite chapters! I especially loved the talk they put in there "What Lack I Yet?" So amazing that we can receive personalized council from the Holy Ghost about how we can improve and be more and more like the Savior! Personal revelation is so important!!

Love you all!

Week 54

Heyyyy. Another week gone by.

Okay so the highlight of this week was meeting our new mission president! We drove up to the stake center and had a multi zone meeting and got to meet President Harris and his family. I also got to see Sister Younger there so it was a great day!

President and Sister Harris talked about our 5 rock's here in the mission.
1. Jesus Christ. All things should be focused on him!
2. Obedience
3. We are a family
4. The Book of Mormon and Preach My Gospel
5. The law of the harvest. You reap what you sow!

I am so excited for them to be here and I can tell already that they are a huge blessing for us to have here. Also we got to have snow cones at the meeting so.

This week, I posted a lot in Facebook groups around Dacula asking to pray for them and offering free bibles and it was such a miracle! So many people responded needing prayers for themselves and their loved ones. And many of them responded saying they would like to pray for me too.

We also went to a park and made a video catching fireflies! It's on my Facebook if you want to see it. It was so fun. Only one firefly died in the making.

We have been asked by our mission President to try and do 10 hours of service a week. So this week we got to help in someone's garden, mow a lawn, and heart attack some doors. It has been really fun.

We also have been doing a lot of member visits this week. We got to visit a cute family, a sister that just had a knee replacement, had southern breakfast with another family, and got fresh tomatoes with another Sister. I love the members in this area they are so amazing!

We also got to meet with David and his family a couple times this week. His kids love Michael Jackson so we had a Michael Jackson dance party and ate popsicles.

I have just been thinking about those 5 rocks that President and Sister Harris talked to us about and I know how important they are. Not just for missionaries but for everyone. Especially keeping Jesus Christ at the center of all we do.

Have a great week everyone!

Week 53

It's been a good week! I hit my one year mark this week! How crazy is that. Also happy 4th of July!

The STLs came and brought me a gift for my one year. They're the best. Crazy that I've been out a year already. Not much time left anymore.

This week we went to a lot of members houses. It has been really fun. It's a out all we can do right now so we are trying really hard to make that happen.

On the 4th we had an activity with our zone that was really fun!we played games and ate all the 4th of july treats. Then that night we had a dinner with the Giddings. Love them so much. Not many fireworks to see. That's the one down side of all the trees.

Sunday we got to hang out with a lot of members. And we made a 4th of July cake.

Sorry this is short this week but not much else to report. Hope you all had a great 4th!
