Week 34 - transfers!

Another week here in Georgia and another transfer dead and gone.

I'm with my new companion Sister Green! She is awesome and I'm very happy to have her here. She keeps me motivated and shes a very hard worker so I'm excited for what we will get done this transfer.

Let me just say that when it rains it POURS. Non stop rain this week. At transfers we were all soaked to the bone trying to get pics and trying to get everyone's stuff moved around. Rained all day Wednesday and all day Thursday too. But we love it.

Thursday was the coldest day of my whole life. Not to be dramatic. It was raining but we decided to just try and do tabling anyways. Not gonna lie I didn't want to because it was cold but we did it and we had the most successful tabling we have had since I've been here! Miracles baby. God loves those sacrifices and he blesses you for them. Even though my feet almost got frost bite and fell off. Not to be dramatic.

We had one day of sunshine on Saturday and I've never been happier. I cant remember the last time I had some vitamin D.

Funny story. We had dinner with a member and Sister Green did not like the food. So when the member went into the other room, she scooped it off her plate and threw it in the trash. But she knocked the lid off right as she was coming back into the room. But she played it off and didn't get caught.

That's about it for this week. There was this verse that I was reading in the bible this week that I really wanted to share! It is in Hebrews 11:25
"Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;"

This is talking about Moses choosing to do what was right rather than what was easy and that has really stuck with me this week. The pleasures of sin only last for a season. Never ending joy can only come from following Jesus Christ.

Love yall!

Week 33 - Transfer Calls!

Hello everyone! Another eventful week here in Georgia!

We had a lesson with this cool guy Simeon! He didn't quite agree with everything that we said but he was very nice and open about everything. He said he wants to know who we are as people and be our friends haha. Hes the bomb. He is going to let us know how Justin Biebers new album is lol.

We also got to meet with Mark this week. He is so cool! He accepts everything we talk about and he is so down to just come to everything. We love him.

Got to go on exchanges with Sister Erskine and Sister Solis on Thursday which is always a blast. They're the best ever. We got roses for Valentines day on campus too. Hot or not.

Valentines day! We decided to treat ourselves for v day and went to cheesecake factory. You already know I got Oreo cheesecake.

Then last night we got transfer calls! Sister Younger is leaving and I'm going to be getting Sister Green! So I'm excited! I'm so happy to be staying here but I will miss Sister Younger :(  Sister Solis and Erskine are also going to be leaving as well as Elder McNeill so KSU is going to be switched up quite a bit which we are sad about. But excited for a new transfer and what it's going to bring.

Something I loved from Come Follow Me this week that I wanted to share was 2 Nephi 10:23-24
23 Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life.
24 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved.

I just love that we have the choice to have eternal life and as we reconcile our will to Gods we will be blessed so much. Sometimes I struggle to accept Gods will and I try to fight it but ultimately it is always what is best even if it doesnt seem like it at the time. So just remember that this plan God has for you is PERFECT! And He is going to be with you every step of it.

Love yall have a great week!

Week 32 - snow!!

Snow baby! The weather has been WACK this week. 72 on Monday. DUMPING on Thursday. And now snow on Saturday. We had a snow day and went out and made a snowman.

This week, Christopher dropped us which was pretty sad. But we are hopeful for some of these new people we have found to teach!

Miracle! We sat down and contacted a lot of previously been taught people and we were able to get ahold of quite a few and set up some lessons with them! We are very excited.

On Saturday, after the snow had melted a bit we decided to go out and tract for a bit. But we started driving and it was so foggy we could only see a few feet ahead of us. But we finally got there and started to knock and then there was a crazy guy that was really creeping us all out so we ended up having to leave haha. The excitement never ends around here.

Church was crazy as always. A lot of very high school drama happening. But what else can you expect at the YSA?

That's about it here but I hope yall have the best week ever!

Week 31 - Go Braves!

Good morning everyone! It's been another great week out here in Georgia!

Miracles this week for real. We met 3 really awesome people this week and have been able to have a few lessons with them! Mark, Jack, and Hays. Hays came up to us actually and then came to our institute class that night! God is answering our prayers out here!

At institute, we are studying the old testament. But sometimes part of the lesson is in the Pearl of Great Price. So we sat down and I got nervous because I saw Moses on the board and we hadn't talked to Hays about that yet. But! He left the room right as we started talking about it and then came back right as we switched back to Genesis. #blessings

One of our friends Clara is getting baptized this Saturday! The elders have been teaching her and she is ready to get baptized! We are so pumped to go support her in that. She's amazing. Pray for her!

I had another dentist appointment this week lol. It was the last one thank goodness. They couldn't do a crown because it's all messed up lol but I'll deal with it when I get home. The blessing is that I don't have to go back! Yay!

We went to Taco Del Chavo as is our Friday tradition and guess who we saw? Mike Foltynewicz. Pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. Hot or not? Didn't get a pic though.

We had service on Saturday at the food pantry! Which was very fun as usual. There is a lady that volunteers there that is the most Christlike person I've ever met. I hope I can be more like her.

Yesterday for break the fast we had the best enchiladas ever. Like Mexican food is my weakness. I found out that if I had gone Spanish speaking I would probably be like 1000 pounds because I have no self control.

Anyways. It has been a good week and lots of miracles are coming our way!

Love yall
