First off I would like to tell you the story of our car. So Soster younger and I took the car to go get looked at because of the time when it broke down on New Years Eve. So we took it in and they said it would be about 2-3 hours. We didn't have a way to leave so we decided to stay and just do our studies. So 2 and a half hours later, he comes and tells us that it is probably going to be 3 more hours. So we went to Carabbas and got lunch, came back and stared at a wall for 3 hours lol. So then. He says they have to have both keys to make the car work. And the other key is in Lilburn. So then they were so kind to give us another on for free. So then. The car is done. So we drive it to a place to get an emissions test. Get there, we fail the emissions test and the transmission stops working.... so we drive at 5 miles per hour back to the dealership where we sit for another 3 hours. Then we are told that the car has to stay overnight because its broken and too hot to fix. Lol. So that's the story of when we spent 9 hours in a car dealership. The car is fixed now so no worries.
But we also had zone conference and that was so good! I dont know what we are going to do when President Marsh leaves :(
We found the best Mexican place this week. Like little trailer thing with the best tacos ever. Authentic and BOMB. Catch me there every Friday.
Had members being psycho to us all week. Screaming at us, making us the love note deliverers, and getting roasted at branch correlation. But all around a good week!
My absolute favorite talk ever is The First Great Commandment by Elder Holland and I listened to it a lot this week and I just wanted to share this quote from it.
"'If ye love me, keep my commandments,' Jesus said. So we have neighbors to bless, children to protect, the poor to lift up, and the truth to defend. We have wrongs to make right, truths to share, and good to do. In short, we have a life of devoted discipleship to give in demonstrating our love of the Lord. We can’t quit and we can’t go back. After an encounter with the living Son of the living God, nothing is ever again to be as it was before. The Crucifixion, Atonement, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ mark the beginning of a Christian life, not the end of it. It was this truth, this reality, that allowed a handful of Galilean fishermen-turned-again- Apostles without “a single synagogue or sword” to leave those nets a second time and go on to shape the history of the world in which we now live."
It's so important that we remember where our loyalties lie and that we are expected to follow the example of Christ at all times. We made that promise when we were baptized and it is a lifelong promise we are expected to keep. And the ultimate motivation to do all those things is our love for God and Jesus Christ.
I hope yall have a great week!
Sister Coleman
